Medical Facilities Streamline Distribution of Netbooks
Hospitals use LEID’s Access.it System to streamline distribution and storage of netbooks and other critical assets. In the case of Indiana Regional Medical Center, issues with securing and tracking the hospital’s netbooks had become a nuisance, distraction and waste of valuable physician time. These small laptops used by the physicians were constantly misplaced, not charged or data and file notes were not updated. Finding a system that would secure and track the netbooks while being charged and data uploaded became a high priority. The system also had to be accessed via mag stripe card reader (employee badge).

Now the Physicians pick-up and return the netbooks via LEID’s electronic locker system using their employee badge to gain authorized access. Every access and return is recorded. If a netbook is missing the problem is resolved quickly through LEID’s proprietary tracking software, providing a quick and easy way to track down the physician that overlooked returning the missing netbook.
