LEID will Showcase New Evidence System in Local Dealer SYSTEMATIC, Inc.’s Booths #526-528

Auburn Hills, MI – April 2, 2012 – LEID Products, LLC., the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced that they will be at the Massachusetts Chief of Police Association Annual Trade Show on Wednesday, April 4 at the Best Western in Marlborough, MA. The company will be showcasing their biometric BACSTM system, an innovative asset management system and proven solution installed in law enforcement and military facilities for secure storage and tracking of highly sensitive items including: valuable equipment, weapons, and evidence.

The BACSTM system will be displayed in reseller SYSTEMATIC, Inc.’s booths #526-528. SYSTEMATIC is a leading provider of the most affordable and comprehensive storage solutions (high density mobile shelving, automated storage and retrieval, stationary shelving, biometric secure cabinets) and the local dealer for LEID’s products.

The MCOPA Annual Trade Show is a free event taking place from 9:00am – 3:00pm at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel & Trade Center in Marlborough, MA on April 4. The event will showcase over 150 vendors and exhibitors with representatives of law enforcement agencies throughout New England in attendance.

LEID recently announced The North Andover Police Department in Massachusetts will be implementing their new BACS Evidence Management system to access and track all evidence moving into and out of the property room. The BACS Evidence Management ID Station Kiosk houses a biometric ID reader for access verification and the touch screen user navigation. The ID Station is also interfaced to LEID’s Electronic Evidence Lockers providing the secure temporary storage of evidence incoming and outgoing from police department property rooms. The system includes complete chain of custody custom software tracking and reporting capabilities to monitor all evidence transfers. Property room managers also have remote management capabilities to access, monitor and manage the system while off site. Additional layers of security can be added with options including: hand geometry scanner, ID card reader, RFID evidence reader, and evidence barcode reader.

BACS systems – developed for LEID Products by Patti Engineering – have been used to secure, track critical assets for a wide range of customers. While new to the property room application, BACS has been a proven asset management system used in law enforcement departments throughout the country to securely store and track weapons and valuable equipment allowing for full accountability of armory assets. LEID Products also recently announced version 2.0 of the BACS ID Station Kiosk, which includes enhancements to its sleek tamper proof construction and larger kiosk screen for additional security and functionality.
