Auburn Hills, MI – June 24, 2015 – LEID Products, LLC, the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced details of its attendance at the upcoming 2015 American Libraries Association (ALA) Conference, taking place June 25 – 30 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. LEID Products will showcase its iLibrary System in booth 2128.

The ALA is the oldest and largest library association in the world and the annual conference provides attendees with innovative ideas, strategies, and techniques to better serve their communities. One of the biggest challenges for library administrators today is finding innovative ways to expand outreach of their library facility, while working with budgets which have remained restrictive.

LEID Products offers a field proven and cost effective solution to expand library hours and reach without the cost and burden of a traditional brick and mortar library location or book mobile. LEID’s solution includes tamperproof Access.it Electronic Modular Access Units, with the option to add an iLibrary Kiosk to access the library website. Patrons browse and order materials online or directly through the iLibrary kiosk, and when reserving materials, the patron is prompted to select the pick-up location of their choice. Patrons are notified via phone call or email when materials are available for pick up. Patrons can pick up materials at any time by swiping their library card and/or entering a code into the keypad.

Demand for Reliable Technical Support and Service in Library Industry Drives LEID Products Expansion

Demand for Reliable Technical Support and Service in Library Industry Drives LEID Products Expansion

Library administrators take action to meet growing popularity of self-service after-hours pickup service among library patrons; need for U.S. based service and support to maintain after-hour pickup systems spurs LEID Products expanding efforts in Ohio area to satisfy influx of requests.
Auburn Hills, MI – June 4, 2015 – LEID Products, LLC., the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced that it is expanding its presence in the Ohio area to meet the growing demand for its Access.it and iLibrary solutions, driven by the company’s reputation for reliable service and support. The systems enable libraries to offer self-service after-hour pickup hours, or offer a complete standalone service branch to bring library service closer to outlying communities.

Each year, an increasing number of library patrons are utilizing Library ‘after-hours’ pickup service to access library materials. In years past library administrators found offering this service to be cumbersome; when problems occurred with the electronics, hardware and/or software, as the vendors they had purchased from did not offer service or support. Recent increase in LEID Products library sales has been driven by the company’s reputation for outstanding U.S. based support and service, which ensures library administrators a successful ‘after-hours pickup’ program.

Similar to many of the library administrators across the U.S., Director of Pickerington Library in Pickerington, Ohio, Suellen Goldsberry, constantly evaluates how to expand the library’s reach and impact. Though Pickerington Library offered extended hours, it was not enough to meet its demand. Goldsberry purchased LEID’s Access.it System with electronic library lockers after consulting with Worthington Ohio Library. Worthington had hired LEID Products to replace all of its electronic components at its offsite library pickup/drop-off location, and upgraded the old locker […]

Auburn Hills, MI – May 21, 2015 – LEID Products, LLC., the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced that it has completed a project to remove existing lockers and install its Access.it Asset Management System’s electronic access lockers at 161st Air Refueling Wing (ARW). The system stores flight crew’s airman safety bags that contain equipment such as helmet and oxygen gear – including equipment that must be recalibrated in between flights for safety reasons.

LEID’s Electronic Access Lockers with Access.it advanced tracking and reporting software replaced old manual lockers; eliminating time consuming manual logging and ensuring squadron “readiness” with real-time tracking reports to provide increased accountability that equipment has been calibrated and is ready to go. “The lockers are outstanding – they look fantastic and work perfectly! LEID’s team did a great job on the install, we are thrilled,” commented Chief Master Sgt. Duncan Hannigan, 161st Operations Group Superintendent.

The 161st ARW is among a growing list of military bases replacing antiquated storage methods with new technology to enhance productivity. The new electronic lockers at 161st ARW are built into the wall where the aircrew can access a locker compartment through a LCD-keypad interface. The lockers are pass-through and open in the back into the adjoining tech room where all equipment is recalibrated.

Electronic reports detailing all locker access and documenting recalibration completion are available to administrators via a unique dedicated PC. The dedicated PC was installed by LEID […]
