Law Enforcement Intelligent Devices, LLC Awarded Troy, NY Police Department Business

Auburn Hills-based Law Enforcement Intelligent Devices (LEID) has been awarded business to install their Biometric Asset Control System™ (BACS) to secure the weapons and critical assets of the Troy, New York Police Department.  With a population of 50,000 people, Troy is located outside of Albany and employs more than 100 sworn police officers.

“The department’s leadership was seeking a way to become more accountability for their assets without a complicated paper log,” explains John Kormanik, of LEID.  “Our BACS system secures and tracks those critical assets, such as guns, tasers, pistols, and PBTs with a high level of security and no paper logs.”

The BACS system will be installed in the three Troy police stations in the first quarter of 2009.

Law Enforcement Intelligent Devices (LEID), LLC was originally founded to assist police departments in securing their assets (guns, weapons and radios) through an electronic tracking and fingerprinting system.  LEID’s products since have been utilized to track many other type of business assets such as radios at amusement parks; books, tapes and magazines within a library system; and even the securing of business documents to selected personnel.  For more information and to see on-line demonstrations of our products, log on to www.leidproducts.com
