Auburn Hills, MI & Chicago, IL – June 20, 2017 – LEID Products, LLC, the leader of electronic locker and cabinet storage with biometric asset protection and control, today announced it will be exhibiting at the American Library Association (ALA) Conference and Exhibition. The ALA Exhibition is taking place at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois June 23-26, 2017.  LEID Products will showcase its Electronic Modular Access Unit and web-enabled iLibrary kiosk in booth #4630 which is near the Mobile App Pavilion.

One of the biggest challenges for library administrators today is finding innovative ways to expand outreach of their library facility, while working with budgets which have remained restrictive.  LEID Products will be among more than 900 organizations exhibiting at this premier event.

LEID Products iLibrary System is a cost-effective solution empowering libraries to meet convenience needs by offering self-service, around-the-clock, express library locations. The iLibrary System is made up of LEID’s tamper-proof Electronic Modular Access Units and a web-enabled iLibrary Kiosk. Patrons browse and order materials online or directly through the iLibrary Kiosk. The patron will receive notification of delivery and can pick up materials from the system’s electronic lockers at any time by swiping their library card and/or entering a code into the keypad.

LEID Products, LLC Grows Federal Business Securing New U.S. Air Force Order

Auburn Hills, MI- based LEID Products, LLC has secured another federal order and will be installing its Biometric Access Control SystemTM (BACS) and electronic locker system at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Florida. Hurlburt Field joins other federal agencies including Southern Command, Pope Air Force Base and the National Institute of Health, all using LEID Products Systems in different applications.BACS – developed by Patti Engineering (www.pattieng.com) – secures, tracks (via RFID) and provides full accountability for valuable or sensitive items such as weapons, evidence, controlled medications, and various other critical assets. Items are marked with an RFID chip linked to the BACS kiosk. The user logs into the BACS application to access items by placing their finger on the biometric reader for verification. Then the user selects the authorized items listed on the touch screen which is then retrieved from a secure electronic locker. The software includes administrative tracking reports providing a fully accountable audit trail. (more…)
